FA Youth Cup:

United will play Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.
David May hopes to secure a new deal at United:

"Hopefully something will come about. I want to stay here, but if not then I want to stay in Premiership.

"I was quite pleased with my performance at Burnley, although there were a couple of things I could have done better.

"But we got another clean sheet - and as a defender, you can't ask for anything more than that."

The league game at Old Trafford between United and Chelsea in January has been moved from the Monday night slot given one of the teams will play in the League Cup semi-final that week. The game will now take place on Saturday 18 January 2003, kick off 12.30pm.

United have confirmed that they are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over a possible link up between the two clubs.

Reports coming from the Portuguese press suggest that a deal has already been done. However, according to club officials nothing has been finalised and talks are ongoing.
