Twitter Reacts as Man Utd Fail to Register a Single Shot on Target Against Wolves in FA Cup

So...a replay it is.

Manchester United and Wolves played out a tame goalless draw in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, and the two sides will now have to go head to head once more at Old Trafford to decide who goes through to the next round.

United dominated possession in the early stages, but it was Wolves who created the first real opportunity.

As the ball came in from a corner, the ball was flicked on towards Matt Doherty, who rifled the ball at goal, but Sergio Romero made an outstanding instinctive reflex save to deny him.

Best number two in the Premier League? Well, whatever you think, a brilliant save...

However, with 30 minutes played, the Red Devils thought they should have been awarded a penalty for a foul on Brandon Williams.

Leander Dendoncker misjudged the bounce of the ball and the youngster nipped in, and was clipped by the Wolves defender. After a VAR review, the decision was...no penalty.

United fans were far from happy...

Half time, one shot on target.

It could only get better, couldn't it?

Right?

United needed to make a change. And fast.

On came Marcus Rashford and Fred.

Only 27 seconds later and the pair had combined to great effect, with the Englishman hitting the bar with a deflected effort.

With 15 minutes remaining, Molineux erupted as Wolves burst forward and Matt Doherty was there to head home at the back post.

But, his header bounced onto his arm and into the net, which the referee and VAR confirmed.

No goal...

Both teams continued to press forward, but neither side was able to find a winner.

As a result, they will now go head to head once more at Old Trafford to decide who goes through in the FA Cup.

However, it was another disappointing evening for Solskjaer's men, who failed to register a single shot on target...
