A closer inspection to the 'contract' Anthony Martial signed at the press unveiling for his renewal this week reveals that the Frenchman...wasn't signing a contract at all.
In fact, though the papers were headed up by the Manchester United logo, that was the only legitimate thing there, with the rest of the page taken up by utter gibberish.

Twitter user Anthony Gayle pointed out the hilarious forgery, as he mused: "Can anyone get me an administration job at Manchester United? Must have experience in Microsoft Word and fake contract creations".
Though the photo was clearly staged, the renewal itself wasn't, as the Frenchman signed fresh terms with United to stay in Manchester until June 2024.
Speaking on the deal, Martial admitted in an official statement to the club: “I am loving my time at this club. From the day I joined I have been made to feel part of the United family and I have been incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by the warmth and love of our fans, who continue to amaze me with their support.
“I would like to thank Ole and his coaching staff for their belief in me and for helping me to take my game to the next level. This club is all about winning trophies and I am sure the next piece of silverware is not that far away.”
And his manager was equally complimentary about him on Friday, though still set him a number of challenges following his renewal.
As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, the Norwegian declared: "He's a fantastic finisher, great ability, he's young, but he's intelligent, knows he's football, I'd like him to do - he knows - a couple more runs in behind.
"But I've not seen many players with the quick feet and the skills in the last third as he has, so we're going to build his career and hopefully he'll grab the chance with both feet.
"He has the capability [to score 20 goals in a season] but as I said here I'd like him to make a few more runs in behind because he doesn't miss chances, when he gets chances, he's a fantastic finisher, so he needs to get more chances.
"That's one of the things I keep telling him, you've got to read and sniff wherever there's going to be a chance, maybe some scruffy goals at times, we've got players like him and Marcus [Rashford] who score loads of worldie goals but those five, six extra goals by tap ins and making them runs could go a long way to do that."
