UNITED SEEK CONSISTENCY

Ferguson:

“We have to go on a winning run again. That's what championship-winning sides are all about. They win all the time, and that's what we have to do.

“We proved against Chelsea that we deserve to be top of the League. The performance of the team in general was excellent. Some of the football we played was fantastic and we have to continue with that.

“Consistency is what you need if you want to win championships. Chelsea have shown that in the past two seasons, and so we just have to start again and go on another winning run.”

Quieroz:

“We are never pleased when we don't win. Chelsea had more possession in the second half but I think we created the best opportunities.

“Now it is important to react against Everton with the right mentality and motivation, especially with so many other important games coming up.

“We need to be in a good position in January to attack the second stage of the Premiership campaign.

“If we are in a strong position at the end of January then we should be able to move forward. I honestly believe we can win the title.”

Ferdinand:

“We could have gone six points clear but we remain three in front and we mustn't forget that. We have to keep it that way.”

Carrick:

“We have a few tough games coming up starting tomorrow against Everton. It will be a big test for us but consistency is the name of the game now and we need to get back to winning ways. We have to bounce back.

“It is going to be tight in the Premiership race. They have experienced winning titles in the last couple of years and are obviously hungry for more. We are desperate to overcome that.

“We are still in a good position. We are three points ahead and looking very strong. It is game on.”

Giggs:

“It is a local derby and it us always a tight game. But we need to keep the consistency going because if we are going to win the league, we have to be beating teams like Everton at home.

“Our performances over the last few weeks have been really good and we can approach the game with confidence. If we produce our best form, hopefully it will be enough to get us the three points.”

Moyes:

“What United have done is show it's going to be a really tight championship battle. There was nothing between the two teams on Sunday.

“When you've been at a club 20 years like Sir Alex, you're going to have times when you have to change the team and build a new one. But now they are a really good team. It's a real tight call to pick between them and Chelsea but United can do it.

“We don't go there with fear. We understand how good the quality of the opposition is. Yet this is a game I've been looking forward to for a long time. We've had a couple of draws and I'm looking forward to getting my first win there.”
