The Gunners' draw at home to Liverpool at the weekend and United drawing at Middlesbrough the following day has left the Gunners only six points behind United at the top of the table with Chelsea just three points adrift.

However, The third place Gunners are to play United at Old Trafford this coming weekend and Van der Sar is refusing to believe that they caannot still catch-up points wise on United.

"The boss has already said it's going to be very tight - it's a three-horse race," the United keeper told MUTV.

"Arsenal visit on Sunday, but Chelsea have a difficult run in and it's not certain that they'll win all their games between now and the end of the season.

"We'll only know the answer as to whether it was a good point won at Boro in five games' time. I think it was an important equaliser.

"A draw is not bad, but losing was out of the question."
