WENGER EMBARRASSED

Arsene Wenger gamely agreed to go on an anarchic World Cup television show - the Japanese version of Channel 4's The Word - hosted by a very popular comedian called Samma Akashiya. Wenger-san should have realised the danger, though. Halfway through the programme they introduced Arsenal reject Junichi Inamoto, who they positioned alongside his former manager. Wenger just looked the other way, while Inamoto stared at his feet and mumbled when questioned.
