WHAT THEY SAID BEFORE SATURDAY

Chelsea’s draw with Everton last weekend and defeat in the Carling Cup at the hands of Charlton gave Ferguson hope on Friday.

'Teams have runs and hit blips and they get bad spells. It comes to everyone,' Ferguson told reporters on Friday.

'The more important thing is for us to make sure we win our games over the next two matches and then we can look at the Chelsea game in a different light. And a light in which we say 'right we are ready for them. Let's get at them'. I think we will be ready.'
