Where There's Blame, There's A Claim

…even if there is no blame. Scousers just cannot help themselves can they? Whether they're jumping on buses that have just crashed in the city centre, leaving flowers at the scene of the discovery of a dead chicken or whinging to the police after each and every visit from Manchester United, why is it always happening on Merseyside? The Guardian reports:

'Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is at the centre of an official police probe after an Everton fan claimed his arm was stamped on during a match.

'Colin Lloyd, who works as a joiner, claims he has been unable to work since the alleged incident. "I've been in excruciating pain. I don't know if I'll work again any time soon. I couldn't believe what happened. All I was doing was trying to retrieve the ball."'

'Merseyside police today confirmed Mr. Lloyd has made an official complaint and they are speaking to witnesses and studying CCTV to establish precisely what happened.'
