Good first half
"Well I thought we did very well in the first half. We had some great opportunities and could have scored four or five goals. But if you miss chances like that and you lose a goal in the first half – which was probably their only real strike on goal – you feel that it probably isn’t going to be your day."

Giving the ball away
"In the second half our final pass, at times, let us down. But we still created some good chances. We will always regret the chances that we missed in the first half."

Perseverance
"You have got to persevere, we have always had that great resilience to keep going. And we did that, we kept on going right to the end, but it just wasn’t our day."

Losing a goal
"It was a set piece, and the player got himself free at the back post. You don’t like to concede goals like that, it was a soft one from our point of view. They were never really in the game at that point, but the goal gave them that lift and all they needed to do was to play counter-attack."

Ruud’s chance
"You do expect Ruud to score from those sort of positions. He just rushed it – he was a bit anxious."

Keane back
"I think the time he played was plenty. He was a way off his normal game, but he is such an inspiration. He can lift the crowd and the players. But for Roy’s sake it was just to get him out there."

Still I the title race
"I think the important think about the championship is that you want to get to New Year’s Day and be in a position to challenge. The second half can be very interesting, and you can make it very interesting – and that is why we want to be in the top three."
