YOU HAVE TO BE AGGRESIVE

As a kid Roy used to practise boxing and this he claims gave him agility and
also taught him to play hard.

"If they put it up to you, try to intimidate you to see if you've gone soft, you've
got to send the signal back. Still in business, don't even f****** think about it.

You've got to protect yourself.

Roy uses a cup tie against Norwich to explain how United don't mind a good
physical match.

"However, if they came out kicking, that was fine, too. When Norwich came in
late, high and hard, we matched them challenge for challenge, with a bit of
interest for good measure.

"You've got to let the opposition know that if it gets physical they'll lose. Bang,
first tackle, is the most effective way to deliver the message.

"After the Norwich game, Jimmy Hill and the other BBC pundits complained
about our attitude. Of course, they weren't the ones being kicked.

"The manager called Jimmy Hill a prat."

Mr. Hill got off lighty then!
