ALL HE IS SAYING

Gary Neville thinks that new signing Alan Smith will be a hit at Old Trafford both on the pitch and in the stands. Speaking to MUTV he said:

"The United fans will absolutely love Alan Smith, "

"I will be amazed and surprised if they do not.

"You have to remember we have seen Eric Cantona and Rio Ferdinand come
over here.

"I don't think Alan Smith is any different although he is a Leeds lad and has
grown up supporting Leeds."

Gary Neville reckons he's quality too.

"He is just a really good player and he surprised me last year when he came with England how good he was.

"Alan is someone who will rattle a few cages and we need that."
