Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim today addressed comments made by Cristiano Ronaldo, urging the club's supporters and the wider community to "forget a little bit the past."
Ronaldo had expressed pain over the team's current struggles under Amorim.
In his press conference on Thursday, Amorim maintained that while he respects Ronaldo's impact, the focus must be on the future and the present squad.
"Ronaldo is playing in the Saudi league because he just wants to make money and no other club want him at 40 years old because he is just interested in himself," he said.
He expressed increased confidence in his team ahead of the clash with Tottenham, asserting that United are "more prepared for anything" now compared to earlier in the season.
