Shelbourne supporters club chairman, Fintan Cassidy says: “We reckon he's going to get a fairly hard time because a large degree of the fans would be united against what he did at the World Cup. I'd expect a lot of slagging and a lot of messing. Personally I have no time for him.
Shelbourne boss Pat Fenlen: “There's no point hiding from the fact that Roy Keane is likely to get a mixed reception. Some supporters will give him a hot reception because they will blame him for what happened. But I'm certain there will be plenty who will be more than happy to offer their support in return for the way Roy drove himself to the limit to make sure Ireland qualified in the first place."
And Fergie:
“There's no problem with Roy at all – he will lead the team out as usual and he's looking forward to the game.”
