PA:

Teenager Craig Cathcart has been called into Manchester United's senior squad for the first time ahead of the FA Cup replay with Middlesbrough.

United will be without half a dozen senior men through injury for Monday's quarter-final clash against Boro, with skipper Gary Neville the latest addition to a growing list after he suffered ankle ligament damage in Saturday's win over Bolton.

Wes Brown will replace Neville in Ferguson's starting line-up, while Alan Smith may take over striking responsibilities from Ryan Giggs.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is 8pm.

United (from): Kuszczak, Heaton, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Cathcart, Heinze, Evra, Park, Carrick, O'Shea, Ronaldo, Giggs, Richardson, Smith, Rooney, Dong.

Giggs:

"The next few weeks is a test for our squad.

"You always get knocks and injuries at this stage of the season and with the games as they are, you don't have much time to get over them.

"The manager has been saying all season everyone is going to be involved and that is exactly the way it has worked out.

"It is always hard against Middlesbrough."

"They proved that in the first game and in the end, we were really pleased to get the replay.

"We know it will be difficult. We just hope we can play as well as we did in the first game and put chances away."
