ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP MESSAGE

Rio:

“Arsenal’s Ashley Cole said the title will end up in London — but he is a bit of a joker. In Manchester we don’t see it like that and we will see what happens at the end of the season. We know we can go on a winning run but it is too early to talk about the title. It isn’t even Christmas yet.

“But you can’t buy experience and we have it in abundance — we know there is everything still to play for.”

Gary Neville:

“Obviously we need to pick up results and we’ve done that recently, even though Monday night’s 1-1 draw at Fulham was a little bit of a setback for us. I certainly think we’re capable of challenging. We’ve got to put ourselves in a position where we can get close enough to these teams come March, April and May.”

Neville also questioned Chelsea’s bottle:

"If they keep playing as they are for the rest of the season you'd have to hold your hands up but whether they do that remains to be seen. If they're being hunted by clubs like us, how will they do in April and May?

"Three or four weeks ago we were eight to 10 points behind Arsenal and we could have gone two points behind them the other night. We are strong enough to catch Chelsea and we are playing well enough."
