Alan Smith has begged to be released by Man United — after TWICE locking himself in the training ground. He keeps forgetting push-button security codes to unlock doors for the dressing room and the exit.
Alan, 23, has been staying behind for extra training at the Carrington complex since his £7million transfer from Leeds in the summer. But he was left shouting to be let out after getting trapped in a corridor. Both times, ground staff freed him.

One said: “The poor lad still hasn’t got his head around the codes — and if you do it wrong, you get locked in.
“Alan has had to shout until one of us rescued him. I think he was in there for quite a time. It’s very funny — but I think he’s a bit embarrassed.”
