Of course in 10 years time when the English national football team is failing miserably, United will undoubtedly get the blame for bringing in foreign youngsters and training them up rather than nurturing English talent. However with the idiotic 90 mile rule there is little other option, not that the FA’s incompetence will be in any way a factor when the witch-hunts begin.

We’ve signed 15 year old German keeper Ron-Robert Zieler on a three-year deal from Cologne.

His father Raimunt Zieler confirmed the news to local Cologne newspaper Express,

"Despite this gigantic opportunity, Ron-Robert is quiet and remains calm. In sporting terms he gives his best, but he is hardly talking about the subject, he is entirely focused on finishing school."
