ANOTHER REASON TO BEMOAN THE LOSS IN CARDIFF

From the Mirror:

Kevin Keegan is set to end city's 25 year European exile - thanks to
Liverpool's League Cup victory.

Keegan's side are in pole position for a place in next season's UEFA Cup
because of the Premiership's record in the European Fair Play table.

If the English league maintains its standing UEFA will hand out an extra
European place as a reward.

City are currently the equal third best behaved team in the premiership but the
other clubs surrounding them are virtually guaranteed to be in Europe
anyway.

United and Newcastle are odds on for the champions league while Liverpool
qualified for the UEFA cup by winning the League Cup.

The last time the Divs saw European football was in the 78/79 UEFA Cup.

Keegan said:

"We have got a tremendous bunch of fans here - incredibly loyal. They
deserve for us to be up there with the big boys and challenging."
