Gerrard full of his own self-importance. Or is it merely the Sun being full of sh*t?

Steven Gerrard insists he is not bothered if the Manchester United hate-mob boo him on Saturday. An extract from the Liverpool skipper's recent autobiography quoted him as saying “I want United to die.”

Gerro also rapped Cristiano Ronaldo in the book for his part in Wayne Rooney's World Cup red card. He could be in for a hot reception when he plays for England at Old Trafford. But asked if he was bothered he added:

“Not really. I've just got to focus on the job and make sure my performance is right. I'm not used to getting a good welcome at Old Trafford anyway.”

“What I did say is I have a fantastic respect for Manchester United. But when I cross the white line against them I'm desperate to win that game and will do anything in my powers to win it. I would like the United fans to realise what my true feelings were.”
