Model Jamelah Asmar, 25, lived with midfielder Morris for a year and had the name "Jody" etched on one of her feet.
They split up after he cheated on her with one of her friends and now she is to undergo surgery to have the tattoo removed.
Jamelah told a friend: "All the publicity this week about Jody made me realise I had to erase him from my memory.
"The fact that I see his name on my foot every morning didn't help me - so it has to go."
