Anyone else think Ruud is twice the player Kluivert is? Thought so.

Patrick Kluivert claims he was misquoted over comments suggesting he felt that he alone should lead the line for Holland against Scotland. Dutch boss Dick Advocaat had previously stated that the Barcelona hit-man and van Nistlerooy could not play together, yet paired the two strikers for the 1-0 defeat at Hampden Park.

Kluivert told BBC Sport that he had not in fact suggested van Nistlerooy should have started on the bench but admitted:

'I agree that the chemistry between me and Ruud was not very good.But I am pretty confident that I can play with him.'

Ruud said:

'Let the manager decide the team that plays on Wednesday. As players we have to do a job and whoever is asked to play, he has the responsibility to do it.'
