The Spanish champions were originally going to fly out on Thursday for this weekend’s Champions League final at Wembley, but they are not taking the risk of being stranded.
A Barca statement read: "To avoid possible disruption due to ash from the volcano Grimsvotn, the Barca first team will travel to London today at 2200hrs."
Barca spokesman Toni Freixa will make a press conference from the Nou Camp at 1700 local time to keep supporters up to date with the situation.
