BECKHAM BACK TO WORK

Ferguson may even include Beckham in the squad to face Leicester tonight: "I don't think resting him is the thing to do. He's happy being occupied with his football but obviously the events of the last two days have been traumatic," Ferguson told MUTV.

"David is definitely up for consideration for the Leicester game," added Ferguson. "He just likes playing football and likes to train. It was not on our agenda to rest him. If it had been to the benefit of David to give him time off, we would have done — but we believe the situation is under control. The police acted with great alacrity, did their job well and things are under control. There is no threat to David and, as far as we are concerned, it is business as usual."

"Obviously the events of the last two days have been traumatic and it's a great concern for us. It makes you aware of what life is like these days. David seems to handle all the publicity that surrounds his life very well. Deep down, you do not know how what has happened has affected him because none of us have experienced that."
