From The People:
Alex Ferguson will today open talks with Sunderland striker David Bellion as he pushes through a £2.5 million move.
Bellion, is Manchester United's number one target and the player is desperate for the move. The French striker recently turned down a new contract at the Stadium of Light which opened the way for Reds' boss Fergie, who was attracted to Bellion after the player impressed in an under-20 tournament in the summer, to make his move. The 20-year-old is so keen for the move to Old Trafford personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
United are also closing in on another youngster, Rennes defender Julien Escude, a long-term target, who will cost around £5m.
