The Mirror reports:

George Best is set to leave intensive care tomorrow.

The boozy soccer legend, 59, was given only hours to live two weeks ago after being admitted to hospital with a chest infection that spread to his kidneys and other organs.

The problems, related to anti-rejection drugs he has taken since his liver transplant, even led him to tell his manager to say his goodbyes to his family.
Consultant Prof Roger Williams said at Cromwell Hospital, south west London:
“He's doing a bit better each day”.
