"I was happy with Roy's decision. It might be the thing that will drive him on for the next two years. There are only five competitive matches each year, and those are the ones Roy will be involved in. Ireland will get the benefit of that. There are three important factors to consider - the Football Association of Ireland, Roy himself and his family. The whole thing has been put to bed, that's why he has decided to go back to Ireland.
