BIGMOUTH STRIKES AGAIN

It's Phil Neville:

"With the players we have out at the moment, there are not that many midfielders fit.

"It is up to me now, I have to make sure this is not a makeshift situation. I got my opportunity against Leeds and I can see a great chance, if I play well, of staying there for a few games.

"Saturday is a massive game for the whole team though. A few of the lads we left behind on Tuesday will be back and we will have to get our preparation right because it is a must three points. We need to get back to winning ways."

And he joins those trying to con us about the competence of our reserves:

"Those lads have a lot of ability. At Manchester United, if you are good enough, you are always going to get a chance. We have trained with them for most of the season and they have fitted in well.

"Kieran Richardson caused problems in the first half on Tuesday and Daniel Nardiello looked very sharp and took the ball to the Maccabi defence. They will all have learned valuable lessons from that game, not least that you can be totally dominant, yet still find yourself behind against that class of opposition."

"Totally dominant"???? What game was Steptoe playing in?
