* Ben Foster wants to remain on loan with Watford:

"It's up to Manchester United, but I would love another season on loan here," said Foster, whom United signed from Stoke last summer before sending him to Watford on a year's loan. "We're all waiting to see what will happen.

"My agent and I have been talking to them (United) quite a lot recently, and I know the coaching staff there will be having a meeting soon to discuss players for next season.

"This season has been my first full season in proper football, and it's been brilliant for my development.

"Playing reserve-team football - as would probably be the case at United - is not the same, and I think it would be better for me if I could go out on loan again."

* Neil Warnock managed to get himself sent off last night in Sheffield United's promotion party against Leeds.

* Barcelona return to Spain after a 1-0 victory against AC Milan in the San Siro.

* From The Times:

Rangers face a renewed threat of a £25,000 fine and having a stand closed at Ibrox for one or matches at European games next season because of discriminatory chanting by fans during this season's Champions' League games against Villarreal. Supporters were witnessed singing the Loyalist song "Billy Boys" and making offensive comments about the Pope.
