* This from the NOTW:

Marcos Senna has secured his £4m move from Villarreal to Manchester United. Team-mate and former United striker Diego Forlan urged him to sign.

* The People have the same story about Senna but also claim that United 'will turn their attention to Torres once again.'

* Luke Chadwick was taken to hospital unconscious yesterday whilst playing for Stoke. He is now said to be stable. Stoke manager Tony Pulis:

"They revived him on the pitch, but then he fell unconscious again. I don't know what led to it - but it is a great concern.

"I have spoken to the hospital and we are hoping it was nothing more serious than a case of heat exhaustion."

* The Daily Star Sunday and Mailon Sunday claim that United are in talks with Corinthians for Carlos Tevez.

The Daily Star Sunday also claim that United are after Owen Hargreaves.

* Gerard Pique is happy to go to Real Zaragoza on loan for the season:

"Just by looking at the quality of the signings, you can see the level we are talking about.

"It`s a beautiful city and I hope it will be a fantastic year."

* Lee Martin may be off to Rangers on loan. From the BBC:

Ferguson told the Glasgow Evening Times: "Paul [Le Guen, Rangers manager] has spoken to me about two or three young players.

"Lee is exceptionally talented and, if he is going out on loan, we would like him to go to a club of some stature where he can develop further."

Le Guen watched Martin in action against Celtic at Parkhead last week and was impressed by what he saw.

The Frenchman admitted: "I was very impressed with Martin against Celtic and my next conversation with Sir Alex will be determined by whether it can happen or not."

* Luke Steele is sent to Coventry on loan for a year.

* Watford manager Adie Boothroyd wants Ben Foster back for a year:

"We are very keen to bring him back. He's very much part of the plans here for this season.

"I like keepers who can distribute the ball and his ability to get the ball from back to front suits us with the players we have got. He is fundamental to what we do.

"I've got assurances from Sir Alex. We speak on a regular basis and I'm just hoping to be able to tie it up soon.

"There are things that are beyond our control at the minute and we are just waiting to see what happens

* Dimitri Berbatov:

"What can I say? Spurs stood by me the whole time and sometimes that's more important.

"It is correct Manchester United wanted to buy me. As a matter of fact I spoke with one of the managers at Manchester United. They had a problem with Van Nistelrooy but I could not wait so long, so I said no."
