* Sunday Mirror:

Manchester United's £17m summer signing Anderson may be heading back to Portugal on loan after struggling to break into the first team.

* Lee Martin is loaned out again.

Plymouth beat off competition from three unnamed Championship clubs and boss Ian Holloway was delighted.

"Lee brings something we haven't got. He likes to run with it and take people on," Holloway told the club website.

"He's a fresh young talent who wants to learn and get first team experience.

"We've been following him for about three years and we believe in him."

* On loan Ryan Shawcross scored in second goal of the week for Stoke as they beat Colchester.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis:

"He's done smashing. We work hard to create space in front of people at set-pieces and he is one of them."
