BLATTER – FC NOT PLC

FIFA’s bigwig Sepp Blatter is against football clubs being
on the stock market:

“I do not think that football clubs should be on the Stock
Exchange. Their results are evaluated on the field of play.
The danger is, if there is a diminution of the shares, the
reaction of the club is to invest more. Big club football is
in crisis. It’s up to the national federations and the
leagues to make sure that clubs are correctly organised and
managed.”
