Borussia Dortmund Announce Erling Haaland Signing Ahead of January Transfer Window

​Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the arrival of Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland ahead of the January transfer window.

The Norway international has scored 28 goals in 22 games across all competitions this season, while having a helping hand in further seven.

Haaland has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe this season, but Borussia Dortmund have now confirmed that they've won the race for his signature. 

​​The 19-year-old has signed a contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2024.

Haaland will now join former Barcelona striker Paco Alcácer as the only recognised centre-forward at Borussia Dortmund.


Haaland had been linked with Manchester United for quite some time due to his links with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while he'd also been tipped to stay in Red Bull's system by joining their club in Leipzig.


Italian champions Juventus were most recently suggested to have reached a verbal agreement with Haaland ahead of the January transfer window, which upon Borussia Dortmund's confirmation quite clearly isn't true.
