BRAZILIAN BECKHAM LOVE-IN

Socrates:
"I think England have the best chance to go forward. Beckham is the key here. England are one of the very few teams left in the competition who have a world-class player in the middle of the pitch, a player who can command a game. Now that Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Juan Veron have gone, he's the only one left. Brazil don't have a player like that. Every World Cup winning team needs one, like Dunga for Brazil in 1994 in the USA. We'd love to have a Beckham! Beckham's a very cerebral footballer, a director of the play and he'd certainly get in the current Brazilian team."

Rivaldo:
"There is no reason to compare me with Beckham. Beckham has his way of playing and I have mine. Every player dreams of playing in a match such as this and I feel privileged to be playing. I think there will be more than one goal and probably it will be over in the 90 minutes. And if we win the game against England we should then be favourites because we would have won five games out of five."
