Bruno Fernandes reveals favourite Premier League away ground

Bruno Fernandes has revealed that Elland Road is his favourite away ground to play at in the Premier League, largely because he has such a good goal record against Leeds United.

Fernandes has faced the Whites four times during his Manchester United career so far, coming out on the winning side on three occasions while the other meeting ended level.

He first squared off against United's old rivals during the 2020/21 season at Old Trafford, where the midfielder helped himself to a brace and assist in an emphatic 6-2 victory.

A goalless draw in the return fixture followed before Fernandes bagged a hat-trick in a home game against Leeds on the opening day of last season. A further goal and assist followed when the Red Devils travelled to West Yorkshire later in the campaign.

Considering he has scored six times against the Whites in his career - more than against any other team so far - Fernandes' answer when quizzed about his favourite away day was unsurprising.

"I know it is a big one for the fans and I have scored loads of goals against Leeds," he said at the unveiling of United's new away kit in Melbourne.

Fernandes will have the chance to improve his record against Leeds on Sunday 18 September when the Whites travel to Old Trafford. The reverse fixture is currently scheduled for Saturday 11 February.
