Sol Campbell will now face a ‘trial by video’
A statement on the FA website read:
"The FA can confirm that an incident involving Arsenal's Sol
Campbell and Manchester United's Eric Djemba-Djemba during
the FA Community Shield on August 10 has been referred to
the video advisory panel.
"Referee Steve Bennett has confirmed in his report that
while he saw and dealt with the initial challenge by Djemba-
Djemba on Campbell, he did not see Campbell's reaction."
However Ashley Cole’s kick on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not
be looked at because the ref "saw and dealt with it on the
field of play".
