Carrick Named In England Squad

The United midfielder has ben named in England coach Fabio Capello's 23-man squad for the match in Berllin on Wednesday, 19th November.

Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Wayne Rooney are all missing from the squad through injury whilst Owen Hargreaves, another regular member of the England senior squad, has been ruled out for the season having undergone knee surgery.

England Squad:

Goalkeepers: David James (Portsmouth), Scott Carson (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City).

Defenders: Wayne Bridge (Chelsea), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), Matthew Upson (West Ham United), John Terry (Chelsea), Curtis Davies (Aston Villa), Joleon Lescott (Everton), Michael Mancienne (Chelsea - on loan at Wolves), Micah Richards (Manchester City).

Midfielders: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal).
