Michael Carrick will be sidelined for four to six weeks with the injury he sustained in the weekend match against Liverpool.
Scans have shown that the United midfielder sustained a broken bone in his right foot during the 2-1 defeat at Anfield on Saturday."Michael's injury hasn't turned out well for us," manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed.
"He'll be out for four to six weeks, which isn't good news."
