Carrick Set For England Start

With Liverpool's Steven Gerrard and Chelsea's Frank Lampard both withdrawing from the squad through injury, the United midfielder is expected to make his first start under the Fabio Capello regime in Berlin on Wednesday night.

"I know what I am good at and try to go about my business in the right way," Carrick has said.

"If I get the chance on Wednesday, I will continue to try and do that.

"Friendlies are not meaningless. To play for your country is a massive honour.

"Germany versus England at any level is a huge game."
