It had been reported that Chelsea had made an offer of £20 million plus Duff and Parker for Gerrard.
Chelsea issued a statement dismissing the story:
"Following media speculation regarding the possible transfers of Damien Duff and Scott Parker, the club would like to make clear that both players will remain important members of the Chelsea squad and team."
