CHELSEA SQUEEZED FOR MORE?

It is reported across the board today in the press that
United are forcing Chelsea to up their bid if they want to
sign Veron. The reported figure at the moment is £15m, and
Fergie is not willing to be drawn on the Argentine’s future
at the club. When asked if Seba would still be at the club
to face Bolton on the 16th he replied “I can't answer that.”

However he has said that Veron’s absence from the side that
played Barcelona is not an indication of his plans:

“You can't read anything into that. We have a quota of
midfield players who need a number of games. It was Roy
Keane's second full game, Paul Scholes has played two, Seba
has had two and now Nicky Butt has had two matches.

“I wanted to spread the load around and that is why I played
the team I did. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever
concerning Seba Veron in terms of him being left out of the
team.”
