CHELSEA ‘WELCOMED' TO BARCELONA

A small group of forty or fifty fans chanted and jostled the Chelsea party and there are claims that Mourinho was spat upon.

Meanwhile Chelsea have accused Bryan Robson of histrionics on the bench:

After the weekend game at The Hawthorns Chelsea spokesman declared: “Bryan Robson was insulting our players and our bench virtually from the start. After 57 seconds he was out of the dugout accusing Damien Duff of diving and then shouting at the referee. That general trend continued.”

An angry Robson retorted: “I’m sure people will judge both myself and Jose Mourinho on our respective records of behaviour on the touchline. I invited him into my office after the game for a glass of wine. However, he decided not to take up my invitation.”

However the actions of the Chelsea players will not escape scrutiny as both clubs will be reported The FA:

"Both clubs have been reported," Keith Hackett, the referees' chief, confirmed. "A report has gone in from the referee.

"When the referee was making his decision to issue a card, he was surrounded by players and that is unacceptable. The FA wrote to clubs to remind them of their responsibility and there is always the risk they could receive huge fines."
