From Ananova:
Manchester United coasted to a friendly 5-0 victory over Chesterfield at Saltergate.
Goals from Laurent Blanc, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Diego Forlan, Roy Keane and Kieran Richardson gave United the win.
And it was Blanc who gave United the lead with a 19th-minute goal after exchanging passes with Forlan.
Van Nistelrooy made it 2-0 nine minutes into the second half, with Forlan - who netted his first senior goal in the win at Irish outfit Shelbourne last Saturday - making it 3-0 10 minutes from time.
The Uruguayan had a number of chances to open his account before he curled a 20-yard free-kick past substitute goalkeeper Andy Richmond, who had earlier replaced the impressive Carl Muggleton.
Keane netted United's fourth goal seven minutes from time and just before the final whistle Richardson, one of several youngsters who featured for United, completed the scoring in front of a 7,000-strong crowd.
And a Forlan quote: "My target for the new season is to start scoring goals for Manchester United and to play regularly in the first team."
