CITY TO OPEN A SHANGHAI SUPERSTORE

The Evening News has reported that City are trying to
capitalise on their popularity in China by opening three
dedicated stores there. They have signed an agreement
with a Chinese company called DZJ Sports who will provide
City branded clothing and souvenirs throughout China.

The flagship store will open in Shanghai with two more
planned for Beijing and Dalian, which is the home town of
Jihai Sun. Over the next year, a further 9 stores are
planned to open.

Duncan Martin, the retail chief at Maine Road, said:

"This agreement is a great step forward for the club's
growing presence in the global market. The opening of the
first store marks a very significant step forward for the
club's worldwide audience."

Benjamin Lee of DZJ Sports, is also very happy:

"We are very excited to have reached this agreement with
Manchester City. The club has a rapidly expanding fan base
here in China and we see huge potential to develop our
partnership in the coming years.“
