Cole's agent Paul Stretford has dismissed the rumours of a swap deal between Blackburn and City saying: "I know nothing about it. There's been no contact from either club and I think I would know something about it if anything was happening. This is another case of press speculation being over-hyped to the point of being ridiculous."
