bringing a sense of improved unity to the dressing room at
Old Trafford. Fergie, the master at creating an ‘us against
the world’ attitude at the club, had this to say:
“When all the players come here it is a good atmosphere. We
have experienced it over the years when players have had
tough times, once they get here we close the doors and
nobody gets in. Colditz. You know what it is like!”
Fergie has no complaints with the way Rio has handled it:
“Mentally he seems okay, although it is difficult to say. He
has obviously come through a terrible spell but I have
absolutely no doubts about his temperament. There's nothing
much I can say at the moment, but the defence is there. He
will play on Wednesday at Ibrox.”
