COLE AND MOURINHO CHARGED BY FA

The Times reports:

‘Jose Mourinho and Ashley Cole were unexpectedly added to the charge sheet yesterday when the FA Premier League announced that Chelsea must answer for the infamous meeting at the Royal Park Hotel in London.

Even before any disciplinary commission, one growing certainty is that the England defender will have to leave Arsenal. He will be acutely embarrassed by the allegation that he offered himself to his club’s London rivals and the deteriorating relationship with his present employers is likely to be damaged beyond repair if he is found guilty.

‘(Pini) Zahavi, who conducts many of Chelsea’s transfers, and Barnett, Cole’s representative, could not be charged by the Premier League, but they could face action from the FA, which regulates agents. Barnett could have his licence revoked, but Zahavi, who has yet to give his side of the story, may escape as he is registered in Israel.’
