David Beckham’s father claims that his son sent him a text message that says: ‘Can you believe all this **** in the papers?’

Beckham’s text message to his father was apparently read out to the Manchester Evening News by Ted, who told the paper:

"David loves Manchester United and I tell you this, he would sign a new contract today because the club is the most important thing in his life. Reading between the lines it looks like the club are trying to drive him out. It's unbelievable that they should make a statement on transfer speculation like they did on Saturday. It’s not such a big deal that clubs are interested in David because he is a good player."
