COPA KICK OFF

In the Copa Libertadores quarter final second leg between
America de Cali and River Plate all hell broke loose with ten
minutes to go. River were chasing the game, needing another
goal to take the tie into extra time, when the ball was kicked
away by the America manager Fernando Castro preventing a quick
throw in.

In the melee that ensued, Castro was seen to pull the hair of
River's Claudio Husain who reacted with a sharp right hand to
the Columbian’s head. Cue police, army, a storm of bottles
hailing from the angry home crowd and the entire sets of
playing and coaching staff in a game of chase me chase me.
Castro also appeared to be kicked in the head in the chaos,
which resulted in two River players, one America player and
Castro himself seeing the red card.
