Cristiano Ronaldo named on the bench for Man Utd's clash with Everton

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named on the Manchester United bench for Saturday lunchtime's Premier League clash with Everton.

Ronaldo scored a late winner against Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but has been surprisingly rested for the last fixture prior to the international break. He is joined on the bench by Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Jesse Lingard - and of course, Donny van de Beek.

Fred and Scott McTominay start in midfield, while there are places in the front line for Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani - who has recently returned from injury.

Luke Shaw has returned for Alex Telles after injury and illness, and plays alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof - the latter standing in for the injured Harry Maguire.

The full team has been named below.
