DERBY TALK

SAF has asked his players to put in the type of performance that destroyed City 5-0 a decade ago this Sunday.

"The Manchester derby is always a match I look forward to.

"It is almost 10 years to the day we beat them at Old Trafford.

"Cantona and Hughesy also scored in that match. Then we went on to beat them 3-0 at Maine Road.

"The team at the time was really powerful and had good experience.

"We were flying and caught them on the right day.

"But when this team clicks we are capable of scoring plenty of goals too, as we
showed when we beat Fenerbahce 6-2."

Keane has said that United will have to get over Ruud's absence.

"It's up to everyone to make up for Ruud's absence.

"He's suspended and that's it. We can't go into the game worrying about that. It
depends on the rest of us now and we have the strikers and midfielders to make up for him in terms of goals.

"Our inconsistency has maybe given teams confidence coming to Old Trafford
this season and City will think they have a chance.

"They have some decent young players and I believe they are going to come
here and have a right go."

Even Rio's got something right for once too.

"When I walk round the streets people say 'You better win that game'.

"It hits home straight away how important the derby is to the people of
Manchester.

"When I was at West Ham a London derby wasn't really a big thing because
there were so many.

"The Manchester and Liverpool/Everton derbies are much bigger than any
London derby. I love playing in it."

However it appears that Gary Neville maybe coming a little disillusioned.

"My goals have not changed from the first day I came back for pre-season — and that is to see Roy Keane lift the Champions League and Premiership trophies.

"At this moment I still genuinely believe that is going to happen.

"People are saying we can't win either this season. But that's what other people
are saying, not what I believe.

"I believe we will win both trophies."
